Candy Corn is a small, triangular candy popular around Halloween. It is divisive; people will have bitter fights about the merit, or lack thereof, that candy corn possesses. Some say that it tastes like wax, while others claim that it tastes of heaven. As usual, the truth lies somewhere inbetween, and we must resort to de gustibus non est disputandum.
Candy Corn originates in the late 19th century, where its imitation of chicken feed earned it its name. It wasn't associated with Halloween, however, until an advertising spike in the Octobers of the 1950s led to an unbreakable connection, in the public's mind, between candy corn and Halloween.
